What made you decide to study for your GCSEs?
I have always found 鈥渟chool鈥� maths to be tricky, and received a grade D the first time around. My daughter was doing her GCSE’s this year so I decided to support her and face my fears in an attempt to get that magical C grade (grade 4).

What have you most enjoyed about the course?
I finally understand some elements of Maths that had eluded me for years, and the support that was available to me on the course was amazing.

How has gaining your GCSEs helped you in the future?
I work with young people in education; completing this course and gaining a higher grade GCSE allows me to feel more confident in the classroom. It also means I can now look to furthering my qualifications.

Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
Maths and English grade 4 are now essential for most jobs, the course is in the evenings which doesn’t interfere with job commitments, and it’s a great opportunity to upskill and improve.
